I don't believe everything happens for a reason and in today's episode I talk about how to think of grief & loss in a more helpful way. The pain does not go away with time but you gain more space around it to hold other meaning at the same time.
Grief and loss at first are a giant black ball inside a mason jar. They take up the entire jar. There is no room for anything else. Over time that jar changes to be bigger, like a casserole dish. The black ball is the same size. It is just as painful and just as prominent. It does not go away. The space around it gets bigger so that you can hold other things with meaning in your life at the same time. You can have both. The pain, loss and grief AND meaning, love, and joy. It is messy but both can be true at the same time.
In today's episode Lindsey Huttner, an anxiety therapist and coach, will give this perspective on loss and grief as well as an action item of the week to drop the ball! Don't worry about the little things you forget during the week and give yourself grace!
